Music Clubs
There
will be four optional music clubs offered this year during the lunch break from
11:45 - 12:25.
The Grade 4/5 choir will
practice on Day 1 starting on October 2nd.
The Grade 3 choir will practice on Day 4 starting on September 29. The Grade 4 Orff Club will practice on Day 5
starting on September 30. The Grade 5
Theatre Club will commence in January. Please
encourage your child to participate in these extra activities.
Recorders
A note
will be going home soon for Grade 3 students purchasing a soprano recorder and
for Grade 5 students purchasing / borrowing the alto recorder.
Due to
the high numbers of students in the primary years, the winter concert will
include only students in kindergarten, grade 1 and grade 2. The concert dates will be December 16th and
17th. More information as to which class
performs on which date as well as the times of the concerts will be announced
soon.
The
spring concert will include students in grades 3,4, and 5. The grade 3 students will sing in the
chorus. The grade 4/5 students will have
the opportunity to audition in February for a speaking/singing role.
