Congratulations Orff Club

Congratulations to the the Grade 4 Orff Club for their gold performance at the Winnipeg Music Festival.  Your talent was very evident!

Congratulations Chorale 3me année

The Grade 3 choir received a silver award at the Winnipeg Music Festival on March 9th.  Their songs were filled with energy, phrasing, rhythm and accurate notes.  Well done!

Congratulations Theatre Club!

The Grade 5 Theatre Club sang a very energetic and exciting performance of We're all in this Together from the High School Musical in the Winnipeg Music Festival on March 3rd.  They received a gold award for this outstanding performance! Congrats!

Winnipeg Music Festival

More information and permission forms will be sent home in the middle of February.  The dates are:

Grade 5 Theatre Club - March 3 a.m. at Westminister Church

Grade 3 Choir - March 9 p.m. at Westminister Church

Grade 4 Orff Club - March 20 a.m. at Bird's Hill School

We will need parent volunteers for these events so if you have your criminal record check and are available, please let me know!

Music Celebration

The Grade 5 Theatre Club will be performing We're All in this Together at Music Celebration on February 12 at Sturgeon Creek United Church (207 Thompson Drive).  Students are asked to arrive at 4:40 and perform at 5:10.

The Grade 3 Choir will be performing L'oranger and Jim-Along-Josie at Music Celebration on February 12 at Sturgeon Creek United Church (207 Thompson Drive).  Students are asked to arrive at 5:15 and perform at 5:50 in their choir uniform (vests will be given to students that day).

Parents are responsible for driving the students to and from the concert.  This is a practice before singing at the Winnipeg Music Festival.  Please come out and support our school groups!

Winter Concert Information

Please take note of the following information about the winter concerts: Wednesday, December 17 – Kindergarten AM and PM, Room 1/2- 05, Room 2-01, Grade 3s in Room 15 Thursday, December 18 – Room 1-17, Room 1-06, Room 2-03 and Room 3-102 Times: 1:00 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. Arrival: Please bring your child to his/her homeroom classroom at 6:00 p.m. The doors will not be open any earlier. What to wear: Since our theme is hockey, students are asked to wear a hockey jersey. Any color and any team are acceptable. If your child does not have a jersey, please let your child’s homeroom teacher know as soon as possible so that she can try and find a jersey to borrow. If you have extra jerseys at home that you are willing to share, please let your homeroom teacher know so that they can ensure each child has a jersey. Please write your name on the inside of the jersey to ensure they are returned.
